Designed to Express You

You don't walk into my studio as a blank canvas.

You already have your own style, your own story and the things that make you, you. My job is to listen, get to know what you're drawn to, then turn a little piece of that into something you can wear.

For some people, that might mean something simple and understated. For someone else, it could be colour, texture, sparkle or a completely hand-painted design that nobody else will have.

That's one of the things I love most about being a nail artist. No two people who sit across from me are the same, so I don't believe their nails have to be either.

It Starts with You

Sometimes you know exactly what you want. You arrive with screenshots, colours and an idea already forming.

Other times, you have absolutely no idea.

And that's okay.

We can talk about what you like, what you don't, colours you're drawn to, something happening in your life, a favourite book, a memory, a new beginning or simply how you want to feel when you look down at your hands.

That's where the design begins.

What Happens Behind the Nail Desk

Before I ever pick up a brush, there’s usually a lot already happening in my head.

I’m thinking about the person sitting across from me. What they’ve told me, the colours they keep coming back to, the inspiration they’ve brought with them and how they want their nails to feel when they’re finished.

Sometimes I have a clear picture of where a design is going before I start. Other times, it develops as I work.

I’ll pull colours together, look at different textures, foils or details, move things around and sometimes completely change an idea because something else suddenly works better.

That’s part of the process I love.

I’m not trying to recreate the same set over and over. I’m working out how to take an idea, a feeling or a little piece of someone’s personality and turn it into something that works across ten tiny canvases.

And sometimes the finished set surprises me too.

Turning an Idea Into Something You Can Wear

Creating a set isn't just about choosing a colour and adding some nail art.

I think about how the design will flow across your hands, how the colours work together, where the detail needs to sit and how to make the finished set feel balanced.

Some designs are quiet.

Some are playful.

And some become tiny pieces of art.

The end result doesn't need to look like anybody else's nails.

It needs to feel like yours.

Nails Designed to Express You

Roses Kustom Worx has grown from my love of creating things that are a little different.

I'm still learning, experimenting and pushing what I can create, but one thing hasn't changed.

The person sitting across from me matters more than following whatever happens to be trending that week.

Because the best set isn't necessarily the most complicated one.

It's the one you look at and think:
